Libby Jackson is an expert in the field of Human Spaceflight, having worked in Mission Control as a flight director and been a key part of Tim Peake’s team in the UK.

She manages the Human Spaceflight and Microgravity programmes at the UK Space Agency, and previously managed the hugely successful education and outreach programme that supported Tim Peake's flight. Prior to her time at the UK Space Agency, Libby worked in Mission Control as a Flight Director for the Columbus module, Europe’s laboratory on the ISS.

Libby has had a life-long interest in human spaceflight and first dreamt of a career in human spaceflight when she was 17, following a work shadowing placement at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas.

Libby's book, A Galaxy of Her Own, has just been published. This beautifully illustrated book tells 50 amazing stories of women who have played their part in the history of human spaceflight. She has appeared on numerous television programmes, including Astronauts, Stargazing Live and Blue Peter.

Libby will give a talk about Space as well as discuss amazing stories of people in SPACE
